Highlight Films provides pre-production services for feature films, documentary films, drama productions and TV reports in Israel & Palestine.
We plan the initial phase of the production so it will allow the producers to choose the best possible stories and locations for their film. There are very few locations in Israel and the West Bank we are not acquainted with. Since we film regularly in historical and religious sites, we are able to provide filming permits and any necessary information quickly and in advance. Before the shoot begins, we will advise you regarding any special requirements – such as time constraints, local holidays, special security arrangements and so forth.
Research & Ideas Our researchers can get all the necessary information for your story. Since we are also developing, researching and producing our own films, our staff is used to retrieving the required information and finding the relevant people to interview. While the internet is an accessible source when planning a production, there is no replacement for the local researcher who can visit places, ask the right questions and send the accurate information before any unnecessary money is spent.
Coordination & Access to Locations Getting access to locations can be frustrating and difficult. Our fixers will take care of all the filming coordination, including crew, gear and logistics. After a recce to the locations, we will plan for effieicent filming days, take into consideration transport and the unique circumstances of israel ensuring you make the best of each day.
Taking care of all the rest… In the initial phase we will provide you with offers for hotels in the area of filming, the option to rent local mobile phones, we will assist you in getting local press cards granted specifically for crews affiliated with news / current affairs programs.
